After CES 2016 in Las Vegas was over, the North American International Auto Show, or simply called Detroit Auto Show, kicked off this week. One of the most attractive items in this year’s event is a line of luxury cars from global automakers, such as Mercedes. The luxury cars at Detroit Auto Show successfully attracted spectators’ attention, as they come with a line of sophisticated features on both interior and exterior aspects.
Some global automakers use the moment for momentous debuts of their luxury flagship cars. The following are some of the most attractive luxury cars at Detroit Auto Show, as posted at Mashable:
Mercedes-Benz E-Class
The Mercedes 2017 E-Class is loaded with sophisticated technology, even though some enthusiasts call it a bigger version of C-Class. It is actually a mid-size luxury sedan, which comes with new features, particularly Driver Pilot that works in semi-autonomous driver assistance system. As the name suggests, the feature allows the car to accelerate, steer, and brake itself, despite slower speed.
Another interesting feature is Remote Parking Pilot. This allows the driver to command the car to park itself using a Smartphone. A communication system shows that it is actually designed as a preparation for fully autonomous line of cars in the future. Enjoy easy navigation using a 12.3-inch display in the dash. The weak side lies on the performance, as the car is only equipped with 241-horsepower four-cylinder system.
Hyndai Genesis G90
Another interesting car in the line of luxury cars at Detroit Auto Show is Hyundai Genesis G90, which was once called Hyundai Equus. Instead of simply changing the name, Hyundai actually makes some improvements, including equipping the car with entry level engine, namely 3.3 liter twin-turbo V6, which is able to produce 365 horsepower.
As what Mercedes-Benz E-Class has, Hyundai Genesis G90 also comes with a 12.3-inch display for infotainment purpose, a 360-degree display for assisting in parking maneuvers, as well as a 7-inch TFT display for driving instruments. To improve cabin air quality, Hyundai puts Air Quality System (AQS), but this seems to be available only for the Chinese brand.
Lincoln Continental
If you had the old version of Lincoln Continental, you will see striking difference in the 2017 Continental. What is it? The most striking features include its E-touch door handles, round-y body, and more powerful engine, which is able to produce 400 horsepower, as well as an optional all-wheel driving system. Even though the upcoming Conti does not go beyond business-as-usual things, it is neither bad nor inspirational.
Infiniti Q60
As one of the most attractive luxury cars at Detroit Auto Show this year, Q60 will come in a reshaped design and renamed version of G37 coupe. This upcoming version will come with new engine versions, namely all-new 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engines, which are able to produce either 300 or 400 horsepower, depending upon the variant (and the price, or course).
It even will come with cheaper variant, and or course with less horsepower, namely 208 horsepower. On the interior and performance aspects, the car will be equipped with spinal-support seats and Dynamic Digital Suspension. So, are you ready to wait for the release of the luxury cars at Detroit Auto Show?
