Linkedin is a good place for professional. It can be a place to look for new job, show your business, and long story short, this social media is kind of virtual resume of yourself. Many people can look to your profile and you can read everybody’s resume as well. First of all, you need to make your profile looks flawless because you will never know if the recruiter will judge you by only analyzing your profile on social media. Make sure that the grammar is excellent and do not leave even one box empty. This is your asset to make the employee seeker or product seeker fall for you. Treat it like you mean it.
Customize your URL
Like the facebook do, Linkedin also gives you a change to make your own vanity URL. It should be done in order to make people, companies, or brand you are working on more easily to be found at the search engine. But if the unique vanity URL is already taken by others, you can start with other name such as inserting your middle name on it.
Work on the headline
Basically, the headline will show up the latest job you have done or you should change it manually. It will be better if you fill the headline with what you want to work on it, not the job that you have done. For example, it will be better if you put the brand of your product instead of the former company that you were working with. Besides it will give less branding for you, it will give boost reputation for the company you were working with. And of course the headline is very valuable.
Experience and summary
In the experience field, you have to fill all the experience you have been through and it is not only about your recent work. And do not forget to make sure that the experience is related with the job you are looking for. And then in summary field, you have to make brief words in order to put your working experience. Still, it is better if the summary related with the job you are looking for. Keyword is also important for branding. So, you need to enrich your profile with keyword but do not make it too much because it will be recognized as spam with Linkedin.
