5 Unique Life Hacks to Make Cleaning Bathrooms Easier

Cleaning is in no way an easy task. But, cleaning bathrooms is much harder isn’t it? There’s so much scrubbing and rubbing to do that by the time you finish cleaning just the tub, your hands and arms are aching.

But what if I could tell you that cleaning your bathroom doesn’t have to be so hard? That’s right, you heard me. With a few life hacks, you can make the task of cleaning your bathroom much easier. It’s not even something that requires a lot of materials. All you need are some basic items that you can get cheaply, or you can find at home.

So if you want to know about some life hacks for bathroom cleaning, scroll down and read our list of the same.

1. Use Baking Soda to Get Rid of Mold

Mold and mildew are some of the most common problems that people face in bathrooms. This is because bathrooms are always damp, and hence, they’re the perfect breeding ground for mold. The mold tends to accumulate in the creases of tiles as well as in various nooks and crannies of the bathroom. Now, usually, you’d have to scrub them away but there’s a much easier solution. Just create a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. The consistency should be paste-like. Spread it out on your tiles and curtain. Let dry and wipe it off with a damp cloth.

2. Make your Taps Sparkle with a Wedge of Lemon

Water stains are a real thing, and they make our taps look incredibly ugly. The patchy, blotched effect ruins the natural shine of the sinks. But you can make it all go away with a wedge of lemon. Cut half a lemon and using that has a buff, rub it all over the taps and sinks. Then, if there are some really tough stains, sprinkle a bit of bicarb soda on those spots and rub them hard, either with a toothbrush or a rough cloth. Then just give it a wipe down with a slightly damp cloth, and your taps will be back to looking shiny and brand new.

3. Wipe Down Mirrors with Shaving Foam

Our bathroom mirrors are constantly exposed to splatters of water. Over time as they dry, they leave behind ugly splotches as well as accumulated dirt and grime. Now, you may have noticed that even after you clean the mirror, a bit of cloudiness remains. In order to fix that, all you have to do is put a bit of shaving foam on it. Use a small dollop of foam and spread it around the mirror. Then use a small wiper or a damp cloth and wipe it off. You’ll see that your mirror is now sparkling clean. It’s an easy and fast solution, which you can execute in no time and with hardly any effort.

4. Scrub your Tub with a Drill

Even if you spend half your day scrubbing and wiping your tub, it still doesn’t seem clean enough, right? Well, here’s how you can fix that. All you have to do is attach a scrub head to a power drill and get cracking. These brush heads are commonly available and you can find them at any hardware store. Make sure you also use a good quality cleaning liquid or spray. This hack will minimize the amount of elbow grease you have to put in a lot and allow you to finish the task in less than half the time. Your tub will be much cleaner as well.

5. Soak your Loofahs in a Bleach Solution

Now just because you’re cleaning out your bathroom, doesn’t mean you’ll just clean the attachments and not your belongings. You need to thoroughly clean your bathroom products as well, especially wash clothes and loofahs. Loofahs are netted scrubs made of either natural materials or plastic. They’re great for removing dead skin and dirt. But the dead skin that you remove from your body collects on the loofah and if you don’t clean it out, it can lead to serious infection. But it’s simple. Just mix together ⅓ bleach with ⅔ water and dip your loofah into it for an hour or so. Then, take it out and rinse it thoroughly
